Chophouse285 embraces the timeless craft of authentic steakhouses by offering one of Florida’s rare walk-in dry-aging rooms, featuring a Himalayan salt wall and a custom wood-burning grill by legendary grill maker Chris Demant, delivering steaks with unparalleled depth of flavor. Our signature cuts, paired with a wide selection of expertly crafted menu items, offer guests a new twist on the classics stemming from Englewood’s beloved Farlow’s on the Water. All of our pasta is hand-rolled and made in-house, and we fillet every fish on-site to guarantee the freshest seafood on Florida’s West Coast. With Laurie Farlow’s Southern charm and Keith Farlow’s Caribbean spirit, Chophouse285 is a hidden gem of Old Florida, nestled on historic Dearborn Street.

Keith and Laurie Farlow are the husband-and-wife team behind Chophouse285 and Englewood’s acclaimed Farlow’s on the Water. With more than 20 years in the restaurant industry, they’ve earned a reputation for blending warm hospitality with culinary brilliance. Keith’s Caribbean upbringing in St. Croix, USVI, and Laurie’s Southern roots in Bardstown, Kentucky, shape a unique culinary point of view that celebrates bold flavors and community. Their latest concept, Chophouse285, brings those values to Dearborn Street with internationally sourced dry-aged steaks, a custom wood grill, and a commitment to quality at every level.
